Conservancy of Southwest Florida welcomes interns from The Immokalee Foundation

July 16, 2024

This summer, the von Arx Wildlife Hospital at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida welcomed two interns from The Immokalee Foundation. This foundation provides students with the resources and confidence they need to follow pathways to success. During the summer, these students participate in fun and engaging learning opportunities to continue their journey toward success.

Interns Evamaria and Allison joined us this summer for a four-week internship/volunteering opportunity working with the wildlife rehabilitation team and education summer camp teams where they were able to acquire new skills that they can use when they join the workforce.

“This four-week internship/volunteering opportunity allowed each student to certify that their chosen interest was, in fact, something they wanted to continue pursuing in college. The hands-on experiences were perfect examples that allowed our students to love their careers even more, and thanks to you and everyone who helped coach these students, they received the experience they needed in their resumes.”

– Araceli Moreno, Career Pathways Coordinator at The Immokalee Foundation

We thank Evamaria and Allison for their hard work and dedication, and The Immokalee Foundation for their partnership!
