The ninth annual Give Where You Live – Collier 24 hour fundraiser was a major success. Thank you to everyone who participated.
In all, $3,293,330 was raised for the 37 nonprofits involved. This is huge for the community and the wonderful nonprofits who do incredible work every day.
The Conservancy of Southwest Florida was graciously given $55,364 from 132 donors.
This money will help our education program continue their work educating students about STEM education in Collier County and introduce them to different career paths in the field.
Our education work – at schools, out in the community, and here at the Nature Center – is critical because we believe the more people learn about the environment, the more willing they are to protect it.
From Pre-K through gray, the Environmental Education team at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida is active with all ages. We reach more than 10,000 local school students each year through field trips to the Conservancy Nature Center and outreach programs at area schools.
