From exploring wildlife corridors to understanding the impact of microplastics, the LAB makes learning about environmental stewardship both accessible and exciting, fostering a new generation of informed conservationists.

This mobile science lab on wheels delivers engaging and educational activities focused on Florida's environment directly to Title I schools. Inside, students have the chance to engage with interactive games about natural resources and participate in activities aligned with the Sunshine State Standards, utilizing scientific tools such as microscopes and calipers. Outside, the adventure continues with hands-on experiences like a mobile critter touch tank and simulated python tracking.
While the LAB is primarily aimed at enriching the education of students at Title I schools, it is also available for other school groups and community events upon request, though availability may be limited.
This innovative mobile classroom is equipped with the latest technology, including 4k microscopes and the NOAA Science on a Sphere experience, projected on an interactive touch table.
For the 2023-24 school year, the Conservancy is extending the LAB's after-school programs to community partners in Collier County, ensuring that students from underserved and underrepresented communities have access to our unique, immersive learning experiences.
