Naples City Council Meeting — March 18, 2026
The Conservancy spoke before the Naples City Council at its March 18th meeting. We took the opportunity to share with council members an overview of our ongoing work around nature-based solutions.
Climate Resilience Advisor
We highlighted resources we have developed showcasing existing and in-process nature-based and hybrid projects across the State of Florida. This includes our interactive tool for exploring these case studies and a more in-depth library of project fact sheets.
In addition, we briefed the council on our ongoing project — Working with Nature: Flood Resilience Blueprint — which explores nature-based options for the Naples area. One major project outcome will be conceptual designs for six different characteristic areas (“typologies”) within Naples. The Blueprint will be completed later this year.

The council was very receptive to hearing from the Conservancy and is open to having us return to present on project outcomes.
Naples Airport Authority – March 19, 2026
At the invitation of the Naples Airport Authority, The Conservancy also shared details about the Working with Nature: Flood Resilience Blueprint project with the Authority’s Board of Commissioners. We look forward to continuing our engagement with the Authority as they explore opportunities regarding how to build resilience against flooding at the airport.
